Recently Mirilis Company has introduced a new product which is called Splash Lite. This product is nothing else but a media player. However, we should say that the developers have proudly announced it as a ‘next generation player’. So, at first sight it becomes clear that the developers focused on the originality of the product interface. Since almost all media players have the same functions, the developers of this program tried to attract users by the interface. At the bottom of the main window there is a tool bar, which includes all the standard control buttons. As for the playlist it appears as a separate window and can be moved to any part of the desktop separately from the player itself. At the top of the main window there is a drop-down menu, which helps you to open files, adjust settings or add subtitles. You can also watch TV (in case you have a TV tuner). As for media files, this program supports all the popular video formats such as mp4, avi, vob, mkv and many others. The settings menu allows users to adjust general, audio, video, subtitles and other settings. Within the general settings inlay you can adjust screen and display format; make the application check for updates and hide the menu toolbar. Within the video settings inlay you can adjust video quality options. Audio settings let you select output mode: stereo, Dolby Prologic, 5.1 channel and so on. Subtitles settings allow you to regulate the font size and make the application load subtitles from file automatically. There are also TV options and EcoMode options. Some features of the product are not presented in the free version and are available only in the professional one.
